Vipers U16s Showing Great Improvement

Vipers U16s took to the ice at the NIC for their first home game of the season against the vastly experienced Kingston Diamonds. Handing debuts to four new players, Vipers were always going to be up against it and this proved to be the case with them facing 69 shots on goal, conceding 14 goals over the three periods whilst scoring two themselves. Both Vipers goals were scored by captain Chamonix Jackson.

The signs of improvement are definitely there however with Vipers keeping the score much closer than last year, and starting to show a much greater grasp of the rules and positional elements of the game. The girls all had fun, and are looking forward to their next match against Sheffield in November. With more players starting to join the club the future is certainly looking bright for the future of girls hockey in Nottingham! Thanks to Kingston for making the trip down and playing a great game of hockey.

Eleni Hallam, making her debut for the club, recorded her first assist on the Vipers second goal! Congratulations Eleni!
