Club coaches have been completing training on the COVID-19 risk assessment and the clubs return to play procedures and managers training is due this coming week to ensure all of our members can return to the ice as safely as possible.
We have worked closely with the National Ice Centre to ensure all of our documentation meets the government guidelines and falls in line with the additional COVID-19 measures they have in place for the safe return to the venue.
We have set up a whole club TeamApp (https://nihc.teamapp.com/), which every member of Nottingham Ice Hockey Club is required to join once they have received their team selection e-mail. This will be used for monitoring our on-ice capacity, as well as, supporting the Track and Trace service. Additionally, we will be able to improve the whole club communication, with messages instantly reaching all members.
All of the clubs COVID-19 return to play documentation will be shared on our COVID-19 webpage (https://nihc.co.uk/covid-19/) as well as through the whole club TeamApp.
Finally, all members must complete a Return to Play Code of Conduct which will be held by the Clubs COVID-19 Officer (Kirsty Rowntree) and the relevant team manager. The Return to Play Code of Conduct is available here and must be completed before heading to the National Ice Centre for your first club training session.
We are really looking forward to getting back on the ice, see you at the rink soon!
(Please note, this will be our final weekly update)
